Welcome to Team Sigmatech!  I’m looking forward to working with each of you. As a former rotary wing pilot, I can attest to the criticality of the work you all do, and I’m proud to join you in continuing the FMA mission. We know transitions are stressful and you’re going to have a lot of questions. We have provided some information below, including FAQs, and we’re holding town hall events early in this transition phase to introduce ourselves to you and get to know you. We are going to do everything we can to make this a smooth transition for you.

Paycheck Schedule








  • FMA Contract Start Date:  ** check back for updates beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2020. **

  • February 16, 2020 is the official start date of the FMA contract. All accepted offers will officially become employees on this date and will acquire benefits and compensation starting this date.

  • Transition Office Opens:  January 16, 2020

  • Offer Letters will be sent out the week  of Feb 3-7th.

  • New Hire Orientation for Sigmatech employees: 

    Sigmatech Orientation: Monday, February 10th: 4:30-6pm (Make-up: Tuesday, Feb 11th 4:30-6pm)

  • Q: When is the Transition period?
  • A: The Transition period is from January 16 – February 15, 2020.

  • Q: If I have a Transition related question or a special circumstance, who do I call?
  • A: If you have any questions, please call our Transition Hotline at 256-783-1686. It is available 7am to 7pm Monday-Saturday.  You may also email us at: hrhotline@sigmatech.com

    Q: May I ask for a meeting with a member of the Transition Team?
  • A: We would be more than happy to meet with you; please call the Hotline number above to request a meeting.

  • Q: Do I need to submit an updated pay stub?
  • A: Yes, you will need to submit your most recent two pay stubs. They can be uploaded to the application site when you submit your application or you can bring them to our Transition Office.

  • Q: If I am working on the current contract, am I guaranteed a job on the Contract?
  • A: We cannot guarantee anyone a position. We will respond to the Work Scope given to us by the customer with the appropriate level of staffing to successfully execute the contract. However, it is our present understanding that the staffing requirements for the new Work Scope effective for the Contract will be similar to the current staffing requirements.

  • Q: I have a vacation already scheduled shortly after the transition; what should I do?
  • A: Please let us know of your specific situation and we will work with you to make sure already scheduled and approved time off is honored as long as it does not conflict with any work requirements.

  • Q: Will my Child Support or other Court ordered deduction automatically continue?
  • A: No. Your current employer is required to notify the court of the date you terminated. However, this may take up to a month. You should notify the court yourself of your change of employment and give them the address and contact of your new employer.

  • Q: How long will it be before my court ordered deduction is in force?
  • A: Your deduction will begin as soon as the order is received from the court.

  • Q: When will my benefits be active as an employee?
  • A: When you make your selections and properly confirm those selections, your benefits will be active at 12:01 a.m. on the first day of employment of February 16 2020.
